Twin Falls Police investigating reports of a large boom

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The Twin Falls City Police said they are investigating reports of a large boom on Monday night.

Multiple calls came in around 9:40 p.m. reporting the noise, with some describing it as “sounding like a mortar,” according to Justin Clark, a patrol officer with the Twin Falls Police Department. Reports came in from as far away as the intersection of Eastland Drive and Kimberly Road.

Clark said that police investigated a trailer at a property on Terrace Drive near the Blue Lakes Boulevard North and Heyburn Avenue intersection. However, police confirmed the trailer had nothing to do with the boom.

Police scanned the presidential streets east of Harrison Street but could not find anything either, according to Clark.
