The Canyon County Prosecutor's Office justified a deputy's fatal shooting of a 17-year-old suspected of battery with a weapon in Filer.
BOISE, Idaho — A Twin Falls sheriff's deputy who shot and killed a 17-year-old who reportedly stabbed two people in Filer was justified.
The Canyon County Prosecuting Attorney's Office released the results of its investigation of the December 19, 2024, fatal shooting and found the deputy justified.
Authorities said on Dec. 19, 2024, Twin Falls County Deputies responded to a 911 call reporting an aggravated battery with a weapon. Officials said an arriving deputy shot the 17-year-old suspect.
