JOB MARKET: The Cold Hard Truth
Are YOU Your Own Worst Enemy?

Unemployment Rising

ENTITLEMENT vs MERIT?

Growing demands from employers for workers seeking new jobs

Some U.S. employers are seeking new workers who are willing to work longer hours and meet higher demands. Lindsay Ellis, a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, joins CBS News with more.

Many believe they are ENTITLED to it, while JFC believes firmly in MERIT based promotions. Our standards are 'old school'  common sense kind of stuff. (pre-1997 ish)

As a former hiring manager myself, I feel compelled to say the quiet part out loud...

At JFC, our observations both online and in person suggest a prevalent sense of 'entitlement',  especially among many Gen Z job seekers & college graduates.

With that being said, expect to be thoroughly challenged prior to being hired for anything substantial or long-term. Companies are done wasting time, energy, resources on individuals who clearly still have some 'growing up'  to do.

Employers aren't interested in applicant's personal issues, they just want to know they can do the job 'as requested',  without ATTITUDE.

Gen Z often express dissatisfaction and concerns over minor issues, showing sensitivity to numerous 'triggers',  at times even throwing full blown temper tantrums like a toddler.

There appears to be a lack of strong work ethic, with tendencies towards laziness and confrontational behavior, often prioritizing personal interests over work requirements. (always distracted, texting or on the phone, late, arguing with coworkers)

Realistically, applicants should possess some level of sales skills. How does one secure a job initially? By selling oneself through resumes and interviews to the prospective employer. I see and hear many complaining about having to go to so many interviews.

Short answer: Employers just want to see how tough someone is. If the applicant's first thought is to run to the internet and complain about it, well then, expect it to be seen, and the APPLICANT not getting the job. It makes the applicant sound like a crybaby and no employer wants the added drama.

At JFC, we make our hiring decision for long-term positions based on your ACTIONS & ATTITUDE (the 'content of your character')  from the 'monitored'  initial probationary % sales period, not a traditional resume. How? By allowing you this unique opportunity to 'show'  us who you really are and what you can do. No assistance will be provided by HQ during this phase, only our AI Bot. Yes, we are a demanding company, but in all the right ways. You'll learn to appreciate us for this philosophy.

What do you bring to the table?

YOU are the PRODUCT at this point... So, SELL US on YOU.

JFC is all about 'sales'.  Sales is what helps YOU get promoted.

SALES, pays the bills!

When you're not directly selling our products, you are 'selling'  JFC as a company, a brand, so 'passion'  is a prerequisite for working with JFC. How often do you smile?

We are not recruiting traditional job seekers; rather, we are looking for individuals who are genuinely interested in growing with our organization. We value candidates who embrace the philosophy of 'short-term pain for long-term gain.'

Whether you're our product photographer, office person, blogger, or straight commission (gig - probationary period), we expect genuine PASSION. Can you randomly start up a conversation at the grocery store with someone? Only a small few can (or are willing).

We realize that, and those 'few'  are exactly who we're looking for! Finding QUALITY people takes time...

Passion is essential for working with us, as it is the driving force behind our success and that of any business.

Why should we hire you?

We've noticed another trend that started over the last few years:

Many do not seem to appreciate structure & discipline, which is actually the 'backbone'  of success. And you must have a plan - we do.

JFC is actively seeking individuals who defy the Gen Z generalization, or anyone for that matter, who has good work ethics. We're willing to wait on the right individual. We're patient, firm, and effective. We intentionally set our store up to be run by 1 person, so we don't actually 'need'  anyone else. However, at the same time, we want to offer opportunities to others as well. The right people. The best 'fit'.

How committed are you to putting in the effort required? Or have you already given up?

It's 99% 'mindset' : "If you think you can, then you can. If you think you can't, then you can't".

We are open to hiring a dedicated worker, rather than someone who expects undue, unearned privileges.

What makes you worth our investment? How do you stand out as the exception?

A 'college degree'  won't be needed here, and the selected individual will have plenty of opportunity to grow within our company.

Your first job, should we decide to take you in, will be in 'percentage sales' (gig - Receive a % of each sale [3 different % levels], no salary or hourly wage during this probationary period).  You can start earning immediately, depending on how much effort you put in. The only tools you need at this point is your smartphone and time. (PC ok in some instances)

Phase 1: Effectively Using Resources

In this phase, we check to see how good you are at utilizing available 'resources'  and doing research to achieve desired results, with heavy concentration on 'making sales'.  At this point, you know basically nothing about our company. You learn by spending time on our site, reviewing, researching, doing, and asking questions using 'The VET'  Chat Bot below. We update our content several times a day, 7 days a week.

Everyone starts out in sales. Promotions to other positions are based on your overall performance in this area. Probationary period can last from 4 to 6 months, depending on the individual. You need to understand how the business operates, from the ground up, in order to fully appreciate what we do here. 'Lazies'  won't survive...

'The VET' Bot: "Ask me and I will help you navigate the initial 'Make or Break'  phase"

We need to know that you can work alone if needed, unassisted, and be productive. How are your 'organizational skills'?  Can you create an effective 'schedule'  for yourself and stick to it? How creative are you? Can you think 'outside'  the box? See Resources

NO FEES are required to participate, only our approval.

Remote positions available.

Job 22:29

"For when they are humbled you say, ‘It is because of pride’;[a]
   but he saves the lowly."

A wise man once told me:

"If serving is beneath you, then leading is beyond you".
